About Us
2022-23 marks Iowa Prep’s tenth season on the club basketball scene.
Known primarily for our ability to develop players of all ability levels, 75% of Iowa Prep Alumni have moved on to play college athletics.
Whether 9U or 17U, you’ll learn the value of being PROCESS DRIVEN in your quest to become the best athlete and citizen you can possibly be.

Our Teams, Our Seasons
- Girls & boys teams in 9U (3rd) – 17U (11th) divisions
- A and B teams in most divisions
- New this year (3 Platinum division team = highest level)
- Fall season (mid-October thru mid-February) for 9U-14U
- Spring season (late March thru mid-July) for 9U – 17U

Our Facility
Elevate Sports is the home of Iowa Prep Basketball. This facility opened in fall of 2017, and just underwent a name change in the fall of 2024. Completed in July 2018, Elevate Sports house three full-size hardwood courts with large lobby and mezzanine.

- 7 years of basketball coaching experience
- 4 seasons as Head Boys’ High School Basketball Coach
- 7 seasons at Iowa Prep Coach/ 5 years as a TNT5 Clinician.

Jacob Misener
- M.S.- Leadership, Mt. Mercy University
- B.A.- Criminal Justice (Juvenile), Mt. Mercy University
- 13 years of basketball coaching and training experience
- 7 seasons Asst. Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coach at Mt. Mercy University
- 4 seasons as a Varsity Asst. Coach at the high school level
- 7 seasons as an Iowa Prep Coach / 5 years as a TNT5 Clinician
- 4 years as a player at Mt. Mercy University (2 National Tournament appearances)
- Voted a Team Captain throughout his high school and collegiate careers
- Husband to Emily Misener, Father to Sully Briggs Misener and Ramsey Jett
